Clean up the Parks Conversations Event | LLP x Millennial Crisis

An event for Gen Z & Millennials to learn & discuss topics surrounded by sustainability, clean up our streets & meet like-minded people!

Where: Carlton Gardens
When: Sunday, 24 April, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

About this event:

The Millennial Crisis & Little Litter Project are joining forces to run a feel-good event all about community, sustainability & human impact on the environment 🌎🌱

The event will be a space you can meet and connect with like-minded Millennials & Gen Z as we run discussions about sustainability and the environment - don't worry, you don't have to be an expert (actually it's better if you're not) this event isn't a space to judge is a space for open communication & understanding and learning about small things we can do to have a greater impact. Ultimately, trying to leave our planet better than we found it 💪

We will run facilitated conversations around these topics where you will get to know new people and learn from one another. After our conversation circles, we will be hitting the streets to pick up rubbish!

Read more about the Little Litter Project initiative below, together with our help we can clean up Carlton Gardens and surrounding areas. If you could bring some gloves we will provide the bags for the clean-up!

What an awesome way to spend your Sunday 😍

About the Millennial Crisis:

The Millennial Crisis is a community of like-minded Millennials & Gen Z who are fed up with the idea of the way "things are supposed to go". From working a shitty corporate 9-5 that is causing you mental distress, to watching our "leaders" turn our economy and our environment to sh*t.

Our space is here to connect with like-minded young people (yes your 30's is still young) and remind each other that none of us know wtf we are doing, share our experiences, perspectives while learning and growing together. Imagine the meaningful conversations you have traveling abroad, or staying up late with great friends!

Our Conversation events run once a month, with an aim to turn digital relationships into real-life friendships.

About Little Littler Project:

Little Litter Project is an environmental initiative that was founded in 2018. Its aim is to reduce litter, educate the community on the importance of waste management and the impacts of plastic pollution. Audiences engage through social media activity and in-person community clean-up events, which have seen great numbers of individuals coming together, creating friendships, and also change. It was founded by Candace Colaco, an Environmental Science Student, who saw firsthand the pollution within her local council, with no action or awareness being raised. Through Little Litter Project, Candace has seen her social following grow, has hosted numerous community clean-ups, participated in school environmental talks, and also received acknowledgment for her efforts by local councils via sustainability awards and nominations. Little Litter Project continues to motivate and educate communities on waste and encourage environmental consciousness each and every day, for a greener and waste-free!

I'm worried about coming alone:

Don't worry, we all are! Part of the beauty of these events is getting outside of your comfort zone and into your stretch zone so try to push through the awkwardness, anxiety, and fear you may feel leading up to the event! We will support you both pre & during the event in providing a safe and open space as well as ensuring you are greeted and introduced to people upon arrival 🙌

If you have any concerns or questions we are here to make you feel as comfortable as possible so get in touch @themillennialcrisis on IG or hello@themillennialcrisis.com
